Life’s Testing

LOVE IS EVERYTHING

As I spend yet another unwanted and unanticipated stay in the hospital, I am comforted by the various ways love is demonstrated. A long cherished friend comes to sit by my side, reliving our past, present and, of course bringing lots of good humor. My dear husband spends endless hours in uncomfortable chairs, uncomplaining and just thankful to be with me. Many friends text or call, offering to help however they can. Nurses and techs share smiles and laughter as they care for me, even after they have spent 12 hours on shift. Many others, notified through prayer chains uplift me and my husband in prayer. This is truly the grace and wonder of the Christian heart. God gave us the ultimate demonstration of this as He sent His only precious son to painfully suffer and die on our behalf. Indeed our God is an awesome God.
